My name is Kolby Vaughan and I am committed to helping you find vessel of your dreams!  As the largest stocking dealer of New and Pre-Owned vessels in Western Canada and the Highest Rated Canadian Dealer, M&P Yacht Centre has the boat to fit any boater, and if we don’t have it, we will help you find it through our connections throughout North America and Europe.

 

I am very proud to be part of the team at M&P Yacht Centre in Coal Harbour Vancouver. M&P has been a family run business since 1957 and continues to be a cornerstone of the Boating Community in BC.

Boating is not just a job for me, it is a way of life. I’ve grown up on the waters of the Pacific Northwest and spent my childhood exploring the Gulf Islands until I went to University and was lucky enough to get a job working on a Live-aboard Scuba Diving boat that spent its summers plying the coast from Vancouver to Alaska. After University my wife convinced me to move aboard a 1969 37’ Sailboat which we rebuilt and the rest is history. Almost 20 years, 3 boats, a circumnavigation of Vancouver Island, and a year long sailing adventure down the US coast to Mexico, over to Hawaii and then up for a summer in Alaska has given me a taste of how spending time out on the water really can connect you and your family to this amazing part of the world.

 With years of expertise of experience as a Yacht Sales Consultant, I am proud to be a part of the M&P family. After a year long sailing trip down the US coast to Mexico, over to Hawaii and north for a summer in Alaska, I decided that I wanted to spend more time on the water and make it my career.  I left my background in the Oil and Gas industry and set out to find a better fit. Joining with M&P has allowed me develop both personally and professionally and I am truly focused on helping my clients get into boating with as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.  

 

        In this rapidly changing industry, I have realized the importance of continually updating my approach to stay relevant in the market. Long gone are days where a potential client will decide to go boating and swing by a boat show to make their purchase. With the advent of the internet, YouTube and Social Media, potential boat owners are more educated, prepared and diligent then ever before, and in turn, I will do my best to stay up to date, current and informed to help you find the perfect vessel for you and your family and friends.
